I started reading The Wonder by Emma Donoghue. Anyone have any recommendations on what category I can put it under when I am done. I may have to use it as a past goodreads prompt if I cannot find anything else. Thanks!*I should also add that I have the copy that has a spoon on the cover, not a tree.

It could count for #9 A book you meant to read in 2018? or #30 A book featuring an amateur detective, #31 A book about a family, #37 A book with a two-word title, #39 A book revolving around puzzle or game?, #40 Your favorite prompt from a past Popsugar reading challenge?, #46? A book with no chapters/unusual chapter headings/unconventionally numbered chapters-I don't remember about this detail. The book club I facilitate read this and felt it was so-so. None of us loved it but none of us hated it. :) It did prompt discussion!

40. Your favorite prompt from a past POPSUGAR Reading challenge (fits under LGBTQ characters, female author, graphic novel, based on a fairy tale, written by a person of color, or author you've never read before/author of a different ethnicity if either of these are applicable)
I have marked One Hundred Years of Solitude as a to read for this challenge but now I can't remember which prompt I picked it for?

About a family?
I've not read it so I'm just guessing.
any ideas for Every Exquisite Thing by Matthew Quick and Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia?

You cuold use it for prompt #32 - read a book by a writer from Africa, Asia, or South America. Gabriel Garcia Marquez was Colombian.
Can anyone recommend which prompt I can fit The Escape Artist in? I was think the amateur detective? Would that work?

I believe it's a debut novel?

It was recommended by Reese Witherspoon, in case she is a celebrity you might admire.

It's a debut novel, yes :) I'm reading it at the moment and using it for that prompt.
Suggestions on where The Last Romantics might fit? I already have a book about a family prompt satisfied...
Hi! The Book is
One Day in December...
I already have
A Book That includes a Wedding
(and this would be a super stretch anyhow) but I already have a book set on a college campus
Book Told From Multiple POVs (CAKE; Cake series #1) unless I can move that one...)
I don't remember where I 1st saw the book but I don't think it was TV...

It was in Reese Witherspoon's Book Club so if she's a celeb you admire, you an use it for that.
Kerry wrote: "I feel quite silly for this but where could I fit The Count of Monte Cristo ?"It was somewhat inspired by a true story, but depends on your definition of that
And it's on the Gilmore girls' book list, but not all of those are "seen read" but just mentioned.
I'm not going to go through all the past for a favorite prompt, but I know it would fit a book that takes place in Europe, if you've seen one of the movies, it would fit that category from lasat year.

oh, Thank you Katy, I can use it for a past prompt for the Europe setting. I had put The Other Boleyn Girl for the 'inspired by a true story' prompt. I was wondering about the tv prompt. Thanks again!
I just read The River by Peter Heller - any suggestions for prompts that it fits? I’m leaning towards prompt with multiple POVs
Chloe wrote: "I just read The River by Peter Heller - any suggestions for prompts that it fits? I’m leaning towards prompt with multiple POVs"I used it for a book about a hobby (canoeing/wild camping/bushcraft) but probably because my partner was watching lots of YouTube videos on that subject around the time I read it.
I'm currently reading The Screwtape Letters for my book club but would like to fit it on the list somehow. Any suggestions?
Erin wrote: "I'm currently reading The Screwtape Letters for my book club but would like to fit it on the list somehow. Any suggestions?"It's been a while since I read it, but maybe one of these?
12. A book inspired by mythology, legend, or folklore
27. A book featuring an extinct or imaginary creature
28. A book recommended by a celebrity you admire [deceased author David Foster Wallace and deceased Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia]
Anyone know where "One Small Sacrifice" might fit? I know I can use it for multiple POVs, but it'd be nice to keep that open for harder-to-fit books.
I’ve just started reading Norse Mythology by Neil Gaimen, and I’m wondering what prompt to file it under - would I get away with a retelling of a classic or a book set in Scandinavia do you think? Thanks!
Melissa wrote: "Anyone know where "One Small Sacrifice" might fit? Any chance you think it should be a movie? The summary mentions a fiance; does a wedding ever happen? Or (this one is a little stretch) a murder is technically a puzzle to solve...
Lucy wrote: "I’ve just started reading Norse Mythology by Neil Gaimen, and I’m wondering what prompt to file it under - would I get away with a retelling of a classic or a book set in Scandinavia do you think?..."
I don't think Norse Mythology is a retelling in the way most people would think of it (Cinder by Marissa Meyers is one of my first thoughts). I would use Scandinavia personally, but one of the stories could let you argue "includes a wedding" too.
Any thoughts on Harriet the Spy? I've never read it before, it doesn't make me nostalgic (if anything, it makes me glad that I'm an adult!), and she's not an amateur detective, which is what I had hoped to use it for.

It might be a stretch, but you could use it for #8 a book about a hobby or #39 a book revolving around a puzzle or game.

I had a book about a hobby, but I think I might move that one and put Harriet there instead. Thanks for the suggestions!
Carol wrote: "I just got City of Girls. Any suggestions as to which prompt this would fit in? Thanks!"A book published in 2019, a book you think should be turne dinto a movie,
monica gaither wrote: "Hi everyone! Any suggestions on where Verity would fit? Thank you!"A book you meant to read last year, when it came out?
An amateur detective? (might be a stretch)

I assume you mean the book written by Colleen Hoover? (Which, BTW, sounded so good it is also now on my TBR listing!)
Does it make you nostalgic (#2)? Is Hoover a musician (#3)? Do you think it should become a movie (#4)? Is it told from multiple POVs (#19)? Sounds as if you might be able to claim it is a book about a family (#31). Perhaps you could find a past Popsugar Challenge prompt it would fit (#40)? Is it set within a specific season (#44)? Does it have unusual/no chapter headings (#46)? Is there another book with the same title you could also read (#47/#48)?

Can anyone think of a prompt for Trevor Noah's Born a Crime? I keep thinking a celebrity must have reccomended it at some point lol...
Martha wrote: "Can anyone think of a prompt for Trevor Noah's Born a Crime? I keep thinking a celebrity must have recommended it at some point lol..."I used it for the author from Africa prompt.

Martha wrote: "Can anyone think of a prompt for Trevor Noah's Born a Crime? I keep thinking a celebrity must have reccomended it at some point lol..."When Noah appears on Colbert, Colbert pitches Noah's book.
Keep that in mind for any book you want "recommended by a celebrity". If the book's author made the talk show rounds, the book will have been recommended on TV.
