I know right? I think I'll pick up his Romulus and Remus stuff when I get the chance. It looks more graphic than this, but that probably won't bother me. I'm still stuck on how he's local to my area, and I've never heard about him until now.

Update: So, my sister has a fine arts degree, and apparently she went to school with this guy.

AJ (mysticslinky) | 34 comments If anyone is looking for a short, short story collection that is really good, I suggest Spirit Notes Fading by Kris Bowser. I know it can be found on Amazon's Kindle.

And because it has no reviews yet, it counts for task 9 too.

Christi Koenig | 19 comments I read two self-published books, both by local authors that I know personally. The one I liked best of the two is Stepping Off the Edge: Faith and Fiasco in a Philippine Mission - it's sort of an autobiography/memoir of the author's time as a missionary in the Philippines with her husband.

It's funny in places, and sections are taken from the letters she wrote home, so it could also fit two other categories this year.

Sherri Harris | 240 comments I finished The Duchess War by Courtney Milan. I liked it.

Brian Lyons | 5 comments Would a book from Inkshares qualify for this task? I've had Dracula vs. Hitler sitting on my shelf for a while and thought this might be a good reason to get to it.

sillypunk | 6 comments I think Phyllis Esposito: Interdimensional Private-Eye is self published? It was pretty fun, definitely recommend.

Wellington (stenella) | 104 comments I think this fits in this category. I read The Muffia by Ann Royal Nicholas. I laughed quite bit through this one.
