Lisa (lisa928) | 96 comments I need some advice on the numbering of the Kin series by Jennifer Foor.

https://www.goodreads.com/series/1130...

The issue is that Amazon seems has a rule that there are only whole numbers (1, 2, 3 ... not 2.5). So per the GR guidelines the one novella is 2.5, but Amazon labels it as book 3. This causes an issue as then next book for GR would be book 3 but the cover is labeled as book 4. As it is now book 3 is skipped, but that is confusing as it looks like a book is missing.

I contacted the author who confirmed the order and all books are there and that the novella (labeled as 2.5) is the third book. The problem is I am trying to figure out the best way to label the series.

Thoughts or suggestions on numbering?

Amanda | 2442 comments The really interesting thing is Restore Me actually says 2.5 on the cover. I would think a note in the series description would be enough.

Yes the cover posted to GR does, but the cover on Amazon shows it as 3.

Besides the note are you suggesting the numbering of 2.5, 4, 5 ... or 2.5, 3, 4 ...?

Not just the cover on Goodreads. The cover on her website has the same numbering.

I would leave the numbering as is and just put a note in the description that 2.5 also stands as #3 in the series.
