Petar | 108 comments Down to the business end of the year. Lots of people completing their challenges; well done to all, even if you've not completed your challenge, as long as you've had fun trying.

I've still got about 500 pages to go. Perdido Street Station is quite a hefty tome. Not sure if I'll finish (I'm not a particularly fast reader) but I've enjoyed doing it nonetheless.

Dj | 2364 comments I finished one more book off my TBR challenge.
It was the last in a series.
The Guns at Last Light: The War in Western Europe, 1944-1945

I had put this book off due to it being on a subject that I am generally familiar with, unlike the rest of the trilogy of books in the series. So I was happily surprised at the amount of information presented that I was unfamiliar with.

Probably the last of the 2019 TBR challenge to be finished though.

Monica (monicae) | 511 comments Congrats Jemppu!! I read a lot (for me) of books this year, but they didn't fit neatly into the challenge tasks of the other challenges. This is the only challenge I finished this year too!!

John | 168 comments John wrote: "3 to go after some swap outs. might make it. This and The 6th Sense (2 to go for the 100) have been driving most of my reading for the last few months..."

Uncle, not going to make it. Even with a swap out have 1.5 books to go and 1 day. Was fun though and will take a look at next year's as helps to winnow out the TBR pile.

message 716: by Helena (new)

Helena Rawlins | 58 comments I didn't finish this year - not even close - BUT I'm off to the new year's challenge to see which unread books will fit . . .

Wait... Didn't you just finish the 2018 TBR cleanup challenge? Having part of a book left on this one is certainly understandable.

Yes!! Good work to everyone who joined in any challenges and who got books off their TBR!

message 723: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 1405 comments Let’s see ... at about halfway through the year I had only 3 left to go. And now....I have the same 3. Better luck next year!
(In my defense I moved (with 5 year olds!) in July so there seems a clear culprit....(I know - correlation does not equal causation but it’s a good excuse anyway!))
