I have a friend that is looking for a book. She read it in the 70s and says it's a thriller. The characters were a little girl or boy and a cat named Cecil. Cecil loses his head frequently and the child helps Cecil replace it.

You can "bump" your thread every month or so. This pushes your thread back to the top of the folder instead of languishing here on page 44 where fewer eyes will see it.
