Hey Mel! We are all mood readers to one degree or another. And we are here to have fun. If it becomes a chore than it isn't worth it anymore... Happy New year!
Oh, I also got some new books over the holidays! Madeline Miller's The Song of Achilles and Circe, which I've heard good things about, and also S.A. Chakraborty's The City of Brass, Sharon Shinn's The Shape-Changer's Wife, Fredrik Backman's A Man Called Ove, and Lin-Manuel Miranda's Gmorning, Gnight!: Little Pep Talks for Me & You. Now just how to fit them all in my suitcase...

Happy New Year to you too Choko!

Welcome Mel!

Welcome Mel!
Just finished my first 2 books for the challenge, they’re only about 70 pages each (Pottermore presents) but still, every little counts!

Just left you a tempting message on your tracker! :)
You’re terrible, you tell me not to overbook myself but then you tempt me with invites! Damn you 😂
About halfway through Reapers Gale. That should give us at least another 40 pts or so once Choko and I are finished with the book.
I'm finishing my current read, and plan on reading the Bonehunters and jumping on the Reaper's Gale buddy read this weekend.
I'm enjoying the last of my holidays before going back to work Monday. I've two audio books and a print book on the go, so I'm chipping away at them fairly evenly. Should have a nice update once they're finished in the next few days :)
I have Jade City on the go in print, and a Discworld on audio. Hoping to finish Jade City this weekend then pick something off my shelf before my next buddy read! :)
Have you all seen how much Soo has read in 5 days?! 😱😱😂 I mean, can anyone match that?! It's not human! 😂😂

Ya that's 2X the pace Iain had last year. I think top to bottom we have a lot of depth. So we'll see how things even out after a month.

Very interesting so far. And it's great to have Tehol and Bugg back. Love them.

Yeah that will be interesting to see!
I'm starting Oathbringer soon, so won't add any points for a while maybe, but when I do it'll be a big drop! :D

They are the best.
They are the best.
I've finished a few books just need to update. I'm reading Firelight as a buddy read now and have started Queen Bitch

:D me tooooo!
Jade City finished! 10 plus points, yes! Really enjoyed it. Very character driven, for me at least, they were all very distinct people who I loved for different reasons.

While I've still got 3 books left over from last year that I'm slowly finishing, I finished another of last year's books last night and I'm currently reading 2 BRs, so not doing too bad really.
You're doing great, Charlie. Just wait til you get those December books out the way! There'll be no stopping you! :)
OK! I'm reading The Bonehunters now and hopefully will be finished in a few days and will be able to start reaper's gale in time for the buddy read. Those two will bring a lot of points for the team!
@Yanique That's fantastic! I should finish Hostage to Pleasure tomorrow too I think alongside the third Pottermore Presents.
Great job everybody. We currently hold a 1.3 point lead.......I expect that will probably change as quickly as I post this. I think the teams this year are really evenly matched and this will be a dog fight to the end.
Squeezed in a few points to hopefully keep the lead for a while longer :) It's definitely going to be a dog-fight! I'm feeling particularly motivated after having a pretty long reading slump last year, but so far I'm off to a pretty good start!

Great job Sean. Everybody update your points if you haven't. I'd love to be the first group where everybody has points as a point of pride.

Sean, I had that reading slump as well, so let's try to support each other so we don't get into another one this year...😊
Finished Pottermore Presents 3 and Hostage to Pleasure so a few more points to add. I also finished another one of 2018's books last night so that's another one out of the way and more time for new reads.
Unfortunately, the Beagles are crushing it in the early goings. They’re the 1st to have all members register points.
