Finding Emma question

I have been trying to remember what the title of the first book is in this series. I can describe some of the story. A firefighter/EMT named Emma(I pretty sure) is married or in a relationship with a corrupt cop who's abusive. She ends up leaving him and finding someone new who's a decent person. And the ex-husband stalks her and tries to destroy her life. Also her buddy Firefighter/EMT is named Jerry.
Btw, the book topic I had to choose is, obviously, not the book I'm thinking of. It just wouldn't let me post without it.
