SOLVED. Book about high school sweethearts who get married and have three children and the mother is an artist. The book also mentions something about oak trees, something like oak valley or oak lane. Probably published within the last 20 years.

What kind of artist is the woman? What is the man's job/skills?

What is the story's time period and location - country, region, big city/small town?

It is a romance book. The woman is a painter and I don’t remember what her husband does. He might have been a high school teacher. The time period is pretty recent I believe and it takes place in a small town. I believe the states name starts with the letter ‘m’.
