I might do the audio version of Dickens and I might do it again this week... I've been loving Sean Crisden recently and he's so good in that one.

Sunday was spent finishing semester grading, but I took the furry friends quiz today and scored 100%. I guess I've read all of them at least twice. And as for The Dickens With Love, like Johanna I read it twice a year.

Well, I have a new tree this year. Here we don't use real life trees, we buy artificial ones. Anyway, new tree this year and I need more ornaments. The plan is gold and red combo :). I love decorating my place for Christmas holiday! My favorite tree up there would under D. That's my next year combo ;). Thanks for the inspiration. As for who to kiss, well, aside from AE of course, it would be Kit. I just love that guy!
P.S. I already have Merry Christmas, Darling! so if by some chance I get it, please, give it to someone else.

I like picture A because it reminds me of star trek for some reason. I dont really decorate my house but I do have four mini Christmas trees that look quite lovely with lights and baubles. After Christmas I try to keep them alive and once I managed to keep one alive until the next Christmas. It lasted through the second Christmas and then faded away. I dont know who I would kiss under mistletoe. I am not really a Christmassy person and so I would probably dodge the mistletoe and pretend I hadnt seen it. :)

It looks a lot futuristic and space-like. I thought it was a clever way to solve the problem of them trees taking up too much space...
The mini-trees... we do this too once in a while and then plant them in the garden in spring. Some survive. That's the reason there is a small pine tree forest growing outside... :-D
Artificial tree for me too, Goge! :)The part I like the most about decorating the Christmas tree is the end, when I get to turn on the lights and see the final result. The rest of the process usually involves snuggling on the couch with a blanket, my Kindle and a cup of tea. :)
When I was a kid I loved putting on the chocolate decorations. My mom used to buy these chocolate decorations shaped like Santa, a reindeer and other Christmas-related shapes to put on the tree, then we'd spend the holidays stealing one of them from the tree now and then. They were usually all gone before Christmas. :D
The first picture is beautiful, but I would go with tree E, very colorful and festive and the rainbow theme seems particularly appropriate. :)

A, D, and E for trees - can't decide between them, they're all so pretty!I can't have a real tree in the apt, so usually it's just a bit of very light decorating, but this year I felt a tree was necessary, as it were, so now there's (a fake) one, and it looks quite nice. There's a silver garland, colored lights, and a couple of ornaments. I think I'll keep it up even after the holidays (though now i'm wondering how to eventually dust it, lol).

OK, I admit it. I still steal candy canes from Christmas trees. I just don't put them back on partially eaten.
I like tree C. I get a new ornament every year. I like to get one on my travels or just something I find meaningful or fun. When I decorate the tree, I remember when/where I got each ornament. It's a trip down memory lane. My tree is getting bare. The ex took his balls (!), my kids took their ornaments. I'm having to dig down to the homemade ornaments. Sometimes those are the best of all. I got my mom with me this year so she added her ornaments. I would like to meet Swift or Elliott under the mistletoe for a hearty hug.
Tree C reminds me most of my tree... A hodge-podge of ornaments, some just pretty, some with memories attached. And I too love turning off the lights and watching the tree sparkle! Although I'm thinking that "chocolate" tradition sounds like something we should really try 😁

My childhood Christmas tree used to be decorated with entirely sea blue decorations (and idea my Dad had). Nowadays my tree is leaning towards read, gold and silver.

That made me laugh! And nod. As kids we're sometimes oblivious to what others will perceive and what not and we think we're being sneaky. :D

Oh, and isn't it so pretty with the shiny tree, all festive and mild. I love those evenings.

Blue is a new idea. We also lean more towards the traditional red, gold and green or red and silver. This year's tree will be light green and gold, though.
Due to the long draught this year around here, the tree are extraordinarily dry. We've got hours freshly cut from the plantation. In fact standing next to it when it was cut. And it's so dry, barely any juice in the wood. Have to be careful with this one.
I'm not participating, I'm also not decorating, although I've got Christmas lights all year long in a corner of the kitchen near the window.But I just thought about a present I've got once: http://dosmanos.com/product/nut-shell...

I love E, but mine looks like CI started using an artificial tree years ago because my middle son had respiratory issues and the pediatrician recommended it - he was right.
My step-mom was a bit too Martha Stewart for me, every year she picked a different color theme for decorating the house. My stuff is more of a mishmash, stuff that has memories attached :)

I like them all but I think if I forced to choose I think it would be tied with A,C, and E.
