Imagination Running Out

“Imagination runs out. But it makes sense, right? We probably just imagine things based on what we already know, and we run out of analogies in the thirty-first century.” -Kat
I thought the idea of this was absolutely fascinating, and I'd like to hear what other people thought about it!
My thinking is that maybe more intelligent people can think farther that I can, but I'm not entirely sure my imagination goes that for beyond ~maybe~ the twenty-fifth century. I can't imagine so far ahead that we form another way of interacting with the world. We spoke, told stories, then we wrote, made great theatre and read, and now we use online forums, blogs, documentaries, and Netflix.
I have three questions with this, you can pick as many or few as you want:
Do you think imagination can run out?
Where does your imagination run out?
Will the next generation have a further point at which imagination runs out (presuming that it does), or is there just a point at which we as a human race run out of ideas?
