I was listening to a podcast called Ear Biscuits recently, and the hosts were talking about the great toys of the 80's. Part of their discussion mentioned how adults can now recapture the magic of childhood by finding these toys on Ebay and such.
I realized I have this obsession with books! Books I loved as a child, foolishly discarded in my adolescent years, and am now on the hunt for :0)
So what's that one book that you haven't found yet, that you're searching for?
Mine is part book-on-tape, part movie tie-in. It was an 80's edition of Rumpelstiltskin, a companion to the MGM film starring Amy Irving. The book had beautiful movie stills illustrations, and the cassette included pieces of the film interspersed with the narrator, who read the book to you.
I insanely loved this book! I don't know why I chose to give it away; probably bc I wore it out and my younger brothers weren't interested. It's one of a few childhood favorites I've yet to find on Amazon, Ebay, or my local Wonderbook used book store.
