Hi Colleen: Would you consider reviewing my first romantic suspense novel? I've published three romance novels, a novella and a book of short stories. "The UnMatchables Case #1: Danger Noted" was released on Oct. 28. Let me know if and where we go from here. Thanks so much. Description: Private investigators Eddie Emerson and Kelly Gillespie specialize in deep dive background checks for clients wary of an intimate partner who seems too good to be true. Their first slam dunk case pivots deadly. Jacob Malone has fallen in love with the lovely first chair cellist in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Cherise Blanchet’s guidance and friendship helped Jacob’s son master the cello and cope with his parents’ bitter divorce. Jacob hires the PI partners to dig into Cherise’s past. Gossip leads to intrigue and an international high society celebrity with more than his reputation to protect. Clues and cover-ups connect petty crimes, unsolved sexual assaults and mysterious threats linked to an assassin with a secret vendetta.

Iulia Bocaneala (iuliabocanealaauthor) | 9 comments I'm currently seeking for reviews for my released book, Collection Days Famous Smiles. An unique and inspirational novel to add to your reading list. For those who have the interest for reviewing new authors, please find for a limited time free copy on Kindle.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087SKKFMD

Or please send a text below to receive a copy.

Collection Days: Famous Smiles represents a philosophical interpretation that frames the existential thinking of the past ages through the essential themes of thinking. The author develops in her own way the idea of existence through an interpretation according to Western metaphysics that has exhausted its possibilities of development gauged in the three ways of thinking drawn since the aurora era of European philosophy, the identity between existence and thoughts and its special bundle of symbols. As an oracle, being unique, self-encompassing, creatively vitalizes through communication the fascinating scenario of old stories and symbolic figures.

Scott Evans | 16 comments Hi Colleen,

Does a talking German Shepherd with hacking skills tickle your funny bone?

53 year old, gluten intolerant, prevention officer Liesl Healy fights crime with her partner Spoct, a germophobic, partially robotic, talking German Shepherd, in their flying convertible, using futuristic, nonviolent, restorative police methods of the year 2120.
When attacked by a knife wielding subject, they immobilize him not with bullets, but fast hardening glue. Like all police officers she is a medical doctor and cures his schizophrenia by replacing an atom in his brain. She performs psychotherapy, gives him cash, and teaches him the difference between a salad fork and a dessert fork.
Statistical analysis concludes 3% of the responsibility for the crime is unaccounted for, which is considered acceptable, but Healy is a tireless stickler for detail and keeps digging. When Spoct’s meta-analysis confirms her suspicion, she becomes obsessed with finding the culprit.
Using the science of forensic statistics she traces the crime to Washington DC, but the FBI suddenly takes over her case, and she is ordered to go on vacation. Liesl’s bipolar disorder is flaring up, making her paranoid and manic. She suspects a cover up and pursues the case on her own.
The trail leads to the Congressional Ethics Committee, headed by totally corrupt Senator Connmann, a 6 foot tall lizard with slithering tongue and his bootlicking sidekick, Senator Lindsey, a weasel who scurries around his feet in a three-piece suit. She disguises herself as an oil tycoon so Spoct can record her giving Connmann a bribe. The senator retaliates by having them committed to hospital for the criminally insane, where Healy is to be lobotomized and Spoct disassembled.
With her hardheaded spirit and Spoct’s hacking skills, they evade killer drones, and use a math professor’s formula to uncover a conspiracy that is no less than earthshaking.

Thank you,
Scott

Matthew Stegman | 2 comments Hey!
I have self-published two collections of poetry!
They are on Amazon. I can send you some PDFs if you like!

Here are some links:
https://www.amazon.com/Parallel-Unive...
https://www.amazon.com/If-Anyone-Can-...

Blurbs:
If Anyone Can Hide it, it's Me is Matthew Stegman's debut as an author. Separated into four sections, this book is a collection of poetry and short narratives describing his struggle over the inability to handle a failing relationship. As well as the spiral into unhealthy coping mechanisms, the realization of his trauma and depression, and finally acceptance. It is compiled of moments of overwhelming emotion, where all he could do was write something down. However, everything is fleeting. This includes a majority of those emotions.

Parallel Universe Me Has No Scars is a collection of four poetry and short essay chapbooks by Matthew Stegman. The Last Flamingo, Memory Memory, Absolute Absence Romance, and Parallel Universe Me Has No Scars. Each section is a peek into the author's mind as he depicts his experiences, delusions, thoughts, and complaints. Have you found yourself on the opposite side of the mirror? Have you thought yourself close to insanity? Have you paved over your entire childhood? Have you seen your death in the body of others? This collection of poetry seeks out the answers. This collection was tailored to Matthew's design, it is unapologetic and only asks to exist. Just as we all simply seek to exist.

Stephen Roth | 7 comments Hi Colleen, my (literary) fictional novel, Evolution's Magnum Opus, has been awarded is a Canada Book Award winner and has just been nominated for Canada's Giller prize, the most prestigious book prize in Canada. It had had a few initial amazing reviews but I am trying to get the word out - attract some reviews. KindleUnlimited or I can send PDF.

An intense courtroom drama plays out when young Tommy Henderson takes the stand to provide crucial testimony in his teacher’s sexual assault trial. Nothing could adequately prepare the boy for Lester Mobey’s meticulous cross-examination. The wily and experienced defence attorney never left a stone unturned and committed everything to win his last trial before retirement. The consequence of the jury’s verdict has devastating and deadly implications for Tommy and his teacher as they both grapple with the aftermath of the emotionally charged courtroom clash.

Foreword:

those who are in search of the truth.

Can Order Arise From Chaos?
Does Randomness exist?

When you see the universe do you see order or chaos? The laws of
physics, the constant acceleration of gravity, the exact speed of light, the
time it takes for the earth to rotate around the sun or on its own axis, etc.
Everything points towards order, all planets, moons, stars, galaxies spinning
in perfect unison. If the earth tilts a few degrees or moves a few miles away
or towards the sun, everything on earth will change, life as we know it might
not exist. This careful fine-tuning points towards order.

Can this arise from the chaos of a big bang? The big bang caused all the
particles to expand and collide and created the perfect conditions for life to
exist on this planet over billions of years. Was this a blind process or was this
being guided by an all-knowing external force. If you think this was a blind
process leading to creation of earth, water, life and humans with
consciousness, then consider the example below.

Legos example:

If you take a few hundred pieces of different shaped Legos,
place them in a plastic bag and shake them vigorously over a period of many
days, will they magically arrange themselves into a Lego robot? A Lego robot
that can think, ponder and has consciousness? Is this even possible?
If not then saying that man with all his intellect and intricate complicated
body comes into being with a blind process of big bang with billions of
molecules banging against each other over a long period of time is absurd.
Even a single cell cannot come into being with a blind process, let alone a
conscious being like man. Every cell has a nucleus, DNA, ribosomes,
mitochondria etc, complex systems that require design.

Some people will say that universe and the earth and everything within
it was all due to a random chance. What they are in fact saying is, this all
happened by accident. Let us examine Randomness.

Randomness does not exist:

I start with this because I want this to be clear
and concise. Randomness is something that people say when they cannot
explain a phenomenon. (when they do not have all the information or
variables)

The Billiards Table thought experiment:

The famous French physicist named Pierre-Simon Laplace had this philosophy.
If we know all the variables, then by looking at the past we can predict the future.
Imagine one is playing pool and breaks the table with a shot, one does not know
for sure where all the balls will land and they might say its random. Let’s imagine
there was a divine calculator that can take into effect all the variables, exact
force, friction, angles, air density etc, and give us exactly where all the balls
will fall, then randomness disappears.

Coin flipping Robots:

We have created robots who can predict with 100%
accuracy every time whether the coin is going to be heads or tails as they
flip the coin. These robots calculate based on all the forces applied and are
right every time. This shows again that randomness does not exist, but in
fact it is only our ignorance that we ascribe to randomness. Some would say
we have a pixel and the creator or God must have the picture as God has all
the information.

This is the introduction to my book. It is a very short read (less than an hour) and is written in a very engaging format. There are simple examples and full references at the end. If this intrigues you, please check out my book on Amazon available both in print and on kindle.

Valentina | 11 comments Hi Colleen,
Blurb- They raised the lid of the coffin and looked inside. The shroud of clouds that concealed the moon parted for a brief moment, allowing them to see what lay underneath, waiting impatiently for them.

The world that you think you know is in fact a giant asymmetrical cobweb, with each of its strands interlinking every single event to the others. Hidden in the dark corners of this web, lurking beneath its sullen shadows, is the obscured presence of a power that orchestrates all the worlds, weaving newer threads to drag its victims deeper into what remains of the primordial masterplan.

Can you foreshadow your future to evade the closing pincers of the forces that were in play even before the origin of life? Are you brave enough to venture inside and find out? If you think you are, I invite you to be prepared for a turbulent ride through the rugged trails of horror, mystery, fantasy, and love, into the womb of the mystical ‘Dominion of the Valentines…’

https://www.amazon.in/dp/B08Y6NKPCC/r...

The book is in horror fantasy genre. eBook will be free for 2 more days. I'd like to hear your honest reviews. Thank you
