Herro Yung | 2 comments I read the book in like 2010. I'm sure there was a boy that gained the ability to shoot blue sparks, then silver sparks, and he was corrupted for a while and could shoot powerful black sparks. There was a girl that gained the ability to fly, I think. There was a third boy, and I forgot his abilities.

Heero, can you describe their world - realistic Earth, medieval fantasy, etc.?

What can the boy do with the colored sparks (e.g., move/change /destroy objects)?

Can you tell us more about kids - their ages, go to a public/private/magical school, how they met, their families, etc.?

Herro Yung | 2 comments I don't remember much at all besides the things I described already :(
All I remember is that they were definitely children and probably not teenagers. The boy with the sparks could blow holes in walls with the black sparks. I don't remember anything else :(

eva (calendarbusiness) | 15 comments This is making me think of a book called "Has Anyone Seen Jessica Jenkins?" by Liz Kessler. The whole plot revolved around crystals that gave the kids magical powers. Can't quite remember if there was a boy who shot sparks but there were definitely kids with special abilites. Hope this helps, or at least triggers something in your memory!
