Yes, it would fit well, as the theme centres on the First Nations of North America, specifically, the Cherokee Nation in the 1800s. Although the MC is Caucasian, he acquires two Cherokee father figures. He is adopted by one of them, a Cherokee chief, and becomes absorbed into the First Nations way of life. Much of the plot concerns the Indian Removal Act and the forced relocation of Cherokees from North Carolina.

Thanks, TrudyAn. I had Louise Erdrich's book The Plague of Doves penciled in for that task, but I have never read a book by Frazier yet. What is a 100 more pages anyway?
