I just started The Outsider yesterday and it is soooo good.
I hope you'll like NOS4A2 as much as I did. It's perfect for this time of year.

WendyB, I don’t know how to quote someone, lol!! LOVING the Outsider, soooo confused right now though. Heard nothing but good things about Nos4atu and I loved Heart Shapes Box so cant wait!
Excellent. I was able to get this in audio and the audio selection as a hardback from my library. :) Yay! Backwards, but the price is fabulous.
Tomas wrote: "I have keep putting this one to the end of my to read list, but it has remained on it. looking forward to start this!"I did the same thing, but I finally read t, and was my favorite book last year
Thanks for providing me the push to finally pull this off my shelf and read it. As soon as I locate it, it's going to the top of the to-read stack.
I hope you don’t mind I got the audio version. It is narrated by the great Kate Mulgrew. She ya an amazing narrator!

Tomas wrote: "I have keep putting this one to the end of my to read list, but it has remained on it. looking forward to start this!"It was on my TBR (as well as my bookshelf,) for years and I finalky read it. I only wish I hadn't waited so long. Happy reading!😊
Melissa ♥ Dog/Wolf Lover ♥ wrote: "This is going to be awesome; there are so many of us!"I am excited to join in on the discussion with you all, since the story's relatively fresh in my mind, and I've been dying to talk about it!
Melissa ♥ Dog/Wolf Lover ♥ wrote: "That's awesome!! I haven't read it in awhile but it's one book that hasn't left my memory 😊"May we never forget it!

Thanks! Yes I do love group reads!
So far, it’s compelling. 110 pages in. A lot of moving parts but it has one of the creepiest settings/scenes I have read in a very long time. Frighteningly frozen! The characters are all incredibly interesting and I think Maggie will be a favorite. I don’t think that was spoilerish?
I really enjoyed this. The concept was pursued down to small details instead of being brushed with broad strokes. Neither the story line nor character choices were neat and convenient. I cringed, squirmed and May have bargained with the author and characters to not go down certain paths. Exceeded my expectations.

You are so welcome. Agreed: buddy reads are the best!

Hello, my first post, i'm new here, and happen to be half way through. Reminds me of Clive Barker a bit (The Great and Secret Show, but not the plot). How he weaves an undercurrent of strangeness just under the surface of normality. That has always appealed to me. Hey-ho, happy reading!
A big welcome to ya, Daniel!😊I'm pretty sure that Barker was an influence on Joe Hill. Happy reading!
Well, that's possibly the creepiest prologue I've ever read! Never read anything by Joe Hill but you can definitely see his dad's love of horror rubbed off on him ;)
I’ve got about 120 pages left and this is easily one of my top 7 favorite books of all time. (Better than top 10, not enuff for the top 5) but it’s not over yet. Chuck Manx is easily one of the most hated/likeable characters I’ve come across. Likeable is maybe not the right word but I think you’ll get what I mean. Just awesome up to this point.

Are they making this into a show? That could be amazing! I'm only a few chapters in but already its so creepy!
