Michael J. (michaeljclarke) | 639 comments Read up to page 495, where Vic falls down the steps into the basement of Bing's House of Sleep. I dislike his character even more than Manx. Hill's done a good job of making me hate them both. Enjoying the character insights into poor Wayne stuck in the back of the Wraith.
Not feeling confident I can finish this before 2018 bows out. Regardless, I'll keep posting here until I finish.
Happy New Year everyone!

Michael J. (michaeljclarke) | 639 comments At page 576. Just finished the section where Maggie meets Wayne and Manx. Disturbing, to be brief.
Hoping to finish the novel tomorrow.

Michael J. (michaeljclarke) | 639 comments Just finished a short while ago. I anticipated the ending but not how Hill wrapped up the final chapter. I sensed an underlying message throughout the novel, which the last chapter really reinforced for me. I'll have more to say about this when I post my full review here.
In a few words - - really loved the book, and still impressed by Hill.

WOWsers, Michael! I literally read your review prior to clicking on the thread, and I was blown away by the emotional depth of it, especially your closing realizations about how our pasts help mold us into the individials that we become. Indeed, that was a recurring theme, and that revelation did occur to me while reading it, but you worded it in ways that I didn't.

Very nicely done, my friend! If I make one suggestion, though? Mark your review as containing spoilers, for those who might not have read the book yet.
