J.J. Mainor | 2440 comments What do you think?

It looks like Amazon finally decided to present the data the same way Smashwords has been presenting it for years. I do like how I don't have to cycle through all the countries in the dropdown menu to find out where the sales are coming from. Nor do I have to cycle through the titles in the dropdown menu to figure out which books were bought/read on a particular day. On the other hand, I don't see where it tells me about returns, so I don't have an accurate figure on gross sales.

Graeme Rodaughan I like the new reports. The old ones were just clunky.

J.J. Mainor | 2440 comments I've seen somewhere that this is just a reworking of the Sales Dashboard, and that the rest of the reports are coming later...so that answered my concern about the Month-To-Date figures...now if we can just get timely reporting of the sales figures...and maybe a consolidation of all reviews across the different channels so I don't have to open up the pages for each country to see what people are saying...

Marie Silk | 1025 comments It seems an improvement, but I've been spoiled by Book Report's service. It's been surprisingly accurate as to how much I can expect from royalties each month. Book Report is a bookmark that you install on your browser that displays your KDP data in an organized way for a monthly fee. For me, it has been more than worth it since I can see how my books are performing, especially during promos, and which markets are earning what today, last week, last month or last year with a click. The daily numbers (as in, how much you earned that day) can be a little off due to fluctuations in KENP and delay, but monthly royalty calculations are generally correct, in my experience.

This is my view when I check my daily stats (can be customized to view according to book, market, time frame, etc):

Graeme Rodaughan looks cool and should be free for most writers.
