Easily one of the the worst books I've EVER read… I don't even know why I finished it, because it was a HUGE waste of my intellectual resources.
I'm never a huge Jodi Picoult fan but I really hated
. Preachy and rage-inducing. It was thrown across the room more than once.
This wasn't a great season for me in terms of finding good books...The Orange Eats Creeps - awful awful. easily the worst book I've ever read. I really didn't like the voice or the subject matter or the stream of consciousness feel to it. Plus I'm not sure I fully understood what little "plot" there was...
Liberty Falling also a 1*, though at least I understood what was going on. But the writing was poor and there was far too much going on in the story that didn't need to be there. And I felt like the author was skipping scenes but somehow expecting me to know about them.
Frog Music was also pretty bad. Just bored the pants off of me. And also wasn't what I was expecting given Room. The characters were ALL completely unlikeable. Only got 2*.
And although it gets 3* from me, I was really disappointed by The Other Wes Moore: One Name, Two Fates. I had been looking forward to reading that one for a long time but it just didn't do it for me. The premise is really interesting, but the author didn't do a good job of answering the questions he posed. I gave up halfway through and went a loooong time without reading it... may not have except I did a last minute surge to finish it so I could count it for the challenge.

I suspect a lot of people did, I'm just not one of them. Once or twice a year something fits for a challenge and I give her another try. I always regret it.
