I did want a mobile that was just that without all the unwanted extras but it doesn't seem as though there is much of a choice.

I bought it, SIM free, cheap from Amazon. I use it with a Virgin VIP SIM which includes unlimited calls, texts and data.
I like it as it's quite compact but the screen is big enough for me to see easily. It's used mainly for calls and texts but I do use the data sometimes for maps, bus times etc.
I have tried out the camera and video and both are fine but I usually use a proper camera. It's a good back up if I've forgotten to take my camera with me.
I also use the calendar to remind me of appointments and things.
I have got quite a few apps on it which I use occasionally such as Google, Catch Up TV, a flashlight and a few games. But I mostly use a tablet for the games.
Wouldn't want to be without it now. I'll probably keep this one till it conks out. It does what I want it to and I don't have to have the latest phone out.

My only gripe is the poor battery life. But then I do use it a lot, and not just as a phone.

Patti - GPS uses a lot of juice. I tend to switch it off when I'm not using it and plug the phone into the charger when I'm using it as a satnav.

I didn't even know Razr flip phones were still around!
I've got a Sony Xperia something. They updated the operating system (Android 4.IDK) and now it makes me want to throw the damn thing across the room. However, I use it to collect email mostly, but also to come on Goodreads. Today I have been checking ebook formatting on it too.

I do use it as an alarm and for taking pics of things not in my size in stores etc to source online later.

Amazingly, you can still buy an unlocked one on Amazon for about 50 USD! But it's v3. My bad that I gave myself credit for a v6 when they never even got that far!

That's quite incredible. These things do last then. ;)

Sadly, though, I can't use it to control the 8-track player in my Chevy Corvair...

LOL.

My daughter uses her phone as a remote for the TV .

My daughter says"how we going to send the card, are you driving up there?" "No, thank God there is a company called Royal Mail to deliver it for us!" Lol

I can upgrade in November but looking in to upgrading early. Everything I like seems crazy expensive!

I'm on Tesco PAYG Lite and if someone texts me, I'll wait until I can email them back on a computer as I'm too tight to spend 4p to reply :)
By the time I get to a computer I've forgotten to reply anyway.

Fucking gross."

You can't beat my daughter, dropped a day old phone in the river whilst cycling.

Excuses, excuses. ;)
Kids these days.

I think she really took it in there so she could take a selfie and send it to you, Patti.

Oh, and the occasional phone call.
