Here's an article I came across. It's from the developers of an application, but discusses general principles.

On a site called "Farnam Street" there is A Helpful Guide to Reading Better. It gives some specific suggestions how to take notes on what you are reading. They look pretty useful, and they don't look difficult.

Riri (ryngc) | 6 comments This one is not a book but might be useful for note-taking. I found out about Typora from Thomas Frank's tweet. It's a note-taking app that utilizes markdown formatting. It's pretty minimal too and has customizable stylesheets.

"How to take more effective notes"

One sentence: "A series of studies tested drawing against writing and other approaches for memorizing words, and found drawing came out on top."

To discuss this and similar articles, please using the discussion topic.
