This story had quite a bit of historical accuracy. Were you familiar with the story of the Prince Regent’s efforts to force his daughter Charlotte into marriage with William of Orange?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I didn't remember who was the intended groom, but I was aware of the Regent's intents.

My knowledge of British history isn’t what it should be so this was all new to me. I researched it more after finishing the book and was amazed at how accurate this story was to history.

Yeah, she hit the jackpot with these parents.

Jo Ann (jojog) | 72 comments I did not know this, felt for poor Charlotte.

Joanna | 139 comments No.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments I'm a history buff so I knew about the Prince Regent's aspirations. Charlotte is a prime example of how being a Royal is not all its cracked up to be.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 242 comments I watched a documentary about the Prince Regent on Netflix. The attempt to get Charlotte was mentioned, but its primary focus was Charles and Caroline.
