Mistress Kaz (mistresskaz) | 3 comments Hello there, I have a quick question.

I have published erotic books on Amazon, but I am currently writing a completely different genre. My concern is that if I uploaded the new book/s, under a new pen name, it would link the books to my erotic content. Is this the case? I must keep the two separate.

I'm aware that it is against the rules to have two Amazon accounts, so is it possible to have multi-genres on Amazon without creating or a conflict of interest? Or would I need to upload the new genre to other online publishers instead?

Many thanks :)

Elizabeth Rebecca Shaw | 12 comments You can replace the author name with a new different one when you put it on KDP and it will show up under your account for Amazon but will not be linked in any way to your other books. I have two separate genres that I write for as well and I do this.

Nat Kennedy | 321 comments I have two pen names on Amazon and they aren't linked at all. I think it was simple to set up.

Jane Jago | 888 comments It’s very easy to set up at author central in Amazon. I also like to keep my two author profiles separate. Both on Amazon and on Goodreads

Emmanuelle | 58 comments Thanks a lot for those information. I tried to found out how to do it myself but I was lost.
Do I have to enter a new author name in my book when creating the entry?
And, how does it work for the profile on Author Central?
And I didn't even know we could also do that on Goodreads!

Jane Jago | 888 comments Assuming you use a different author name, you can look up what to do in help at author central on Amazon. On goodreads you can just set up another author account

I read somewhere in order to set up another account on Amazon, you need a credit card with the same name for the account. Is this true? Or can you set up an author account using your pen name and your credit card with your real name? Thank you. Hugs to All

Elizabeth Rebecca Shaw | 12 comments I have an account under my real name and have provided Amazon with a bank account under that name. My books are written under two different pen names. They show up under the same grouping. When I want to put in the different pen name, I just change the author name to the one I want. If I misspell it, I temporarily have three different pen names until I correct it. So it is easy to have books under different names on Amazon if that is what you want.

Thank you for responding, Elizabeth. Luckily, I just want to use one pen name.
