SOLVED. Help: 4 part YA fiction series that are all interconnected (like the Giver series) each with only a 1 (one) word title. [s]

I vaguely remember these books. It's a four part series and each book title is only one word. Each book is about a different character (if you've ever read the entire Giver series, it's written exactly like that). I don't remember if it's the first book or not, but one book is about a girl living in a town in the forest. Outside her town is a maze like thing with fences where the end leads them to outside. If they go outside the fences then they'll get "eaten" (eaten isn't the right word, but it gives the right impression) by these creatures. One book is about a character who lives by the sea in a light house. One book is about a character who lives in the trees (which eventually get burned down). I hope that's enough information!

Not one word titles, but it sounds like you're remembering The Forest of Hands and Teeth and The Dead-Tossed Waves. The first book has the maze and the second book has the lighthouse.
