Loved it!

message 52: by Alison (new)

Alison (a1ison74) | 27 comments I have a few options for this
The Unpredictable Consequences of Love
Out of Love
The Improbability of Love
I Believe in a Thing Called Love

I'd also recommend the following
Big Sexy Love - one of my faves and not what the title suggests. Really sweet and a little bit sad
Love You To Death - one for those who like a murder mystery/thriller
My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories - a bit of a mixed bag of YA stories but some of them are brilliant (Rainbow Rowell, Stephanie Perkins)

message 53: by Ian (new)

Ian (iansreads) Redefining Realness: My Path to Womanhood, Identity, Love & So Much More comes highly recommended to me, and I'll take a reason to use as many LGBT+ books as possible.

message 54: by Trina (new)

Trina Gloury (mactrin) | 76 comments Can highly recommend Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren! I adored it. What's better than romance and one which is based on a mutual love of books and reading??

I'm going to go with One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I've heard so many wonderful things about this author, yet I still haven't read anything by her.

message 55: by amax (new)

amax (amax_reads) | 1 comments For those of us who aren't crazy about romance novels, there's always this classic play instead: Love's Labour's Lost by William Shakespeare

message 56: by SadieReadsAgain (new)

SadieReadsAgain (sadiestartsagain) | 767 comments A nice easy pick for me - the only book on my tbr with the word "love" in the title is I Loved You All

message 57: by StefanieFrei (new)

StefanieFrei | 83 comments hm - I do not really read love stories a lot, but it only says "love" on the title - so something like "cLOVEr" or similar would count to, right? Not that this really helps me now...

message 58: by Dawn (new)

Dawn Gerrity (dawngerrity) | 2 comments Mike wrote: "There are more in my TBR/Read list than I expected, and haven't seen a lot of them here:

In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin
Welco..."</i>

Ooh. I forgot about [book:Dear Fahrenheit 451: Love and Heartbreak in the Stacks
I think this will do for me!

message 59: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Love, Hate & Other Filters This has been on my to read for such a while!

message 60: by Oh My Bookness! (new)

Oh My Bookness! I can't believe everyone ha missed To Sir, With Love!

message 62: by Julie (new)

Julie | 5 comments I’m planning to read Everybody Always : Becoming Love in a World Full of Setbacks and Difficult People by Bob Goff. His first book, Love Does, would also work.

message 64: by Christina (new)

Christina (crissytina) | 83 comments I think I'll use the upcoming My Lovely Wife, which is scheduled for release on 03/26/19, so it could also work for the book published in 2019.

message 65: by Adrienne P (new)

Adrienne P (adpreadsya) I'm going with Grim Lovelies or To All the Boys I've Loved Before

message 67: by KF-in-Georgia (new)

KF-in-Georgia | 117 comments I thought this prompt would be easier, but I don't have a lot of books with "love" in the title. But I've got:

Zuleika Dobson; Or, an Oxford Love Story by Max Beerbohm
and
Love and Friendship by Jane Austen

It probably says too much about my love life that both my "love" books are satires.

message 68: by Sarah (new)

Sarah O'Riordan | travelseatsreads (travelseatsreads) | 25 comments I'm struggling with this one as what I'm finding seem to be nice, lovey "chic lit" romance stuff which I'm really not into.

Would love some suggestions for something a bit deeper or darker etc if anyone can help.

However one book which I can't recommend highly enough that I just finished is The Book of Love. A stunning read of the not so easy time over a couple's marriage.

I'm right there with you on not being into a lot of the lovey happily-ever-after chic lit, so for this prompt I think I'll be using the upcoming My Lovely Wife, which is due out the end of March.

Love by Toni Morrison doesn't sound very romantic.

Feel ya. Hate that sort of thing. I can recommend The History of Love though.

message 72: by Suzann (new)

Suzann | 3 comments I'm reading They All Love Jack - a look at the fascination with Jack the Ripper and providing a reinterpretation of who/what people think he was.

message 73: by Sarah (new)

Sarah O'Riordan | travelseatsreads (travelseatsreads) | 25 comments Ooooh thank you so much for all those, none of those seem overly lovey dovey :)

message 74: by Hannah (new)

Hannah Crull-sher (habitualrereader) | 4 comments If you're looking for humor, Bloodsucking Fiends: a Love Story, is fantastic!

message 75: by Jen (last edited Jan 02, 2019 01:51AM) (new)

Jen (jentrewren) OK so this was one of my dreaded prompts but To All The Boys I've Loved Before was on special in Big W so I decided to just get it done. Those of you who said this book was worth the read I'm sorry I didn't listen sooner, it was hilarious. I've now got the next 2 so hope they are as funny, who can't use a good laugh. (I may just have a warped sense of humour though....)

message 76: by Jaime (new)

Jaime Dombrowski | 2 comments Love Walked in - an amazing book - I loved it so much - have read it probably 10 times. It's the first in a fabulous series as well!

message 77: by Christina (new)

Christina | 1 comments The Mastery of Love

message 78: by Allison (new)

Allison | 9 comments This is another option for The Lovely Bones...for a darker option.

message 80: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (mrshurd) | 33 comments How about Love Letters to the Dead

message 81: by Mikaela (new)

Mikaela (mikaelareads) | 19 comments I just finished Love and Ruin today (I read the first 80 pages yesterday and the day before...and then finished the rest in one sitting today!) and I really enjoyed it! I'd already read The Paris Wife a couple years ago, and I enjoyed it so much I made sure to purchase Love & Ruin when it came out. Paula McLain did it again with a wonderful novel about Martha Gellhorn - Ernest Hemingway's fiercely independent third wife. I definitely recommend it!

message 82: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (meldoc) | 40 comments I read “Love and other consolation Prizes” last year and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a book for this prompt

Umairah (Sereadipity) (sereadipity) | 29 comments I've chosen 'Love, hate & other filters'

message 84: by Liz (new)

Liz Anderson (lizanderson) | 15 comments For true crime aficionados, BTK's daughter has a book coming out in a few weeks:

A Serial Killer's Daughter: My Story of Faith, Love, and Overcoming

message 86: by Shelley (new)

Shelley | 231 comments I've had If I Am Missing or Dead: A Sister's Story of Love, Murder, and Liberation on my TBR list for awhile, so hopefully I'll be able to find it. It's about a domestic abuse murder. Kinda the absolute opposite of a romance but still fascinating.

message 88: by Kelli (new)

Kelli Frazier | 8 comments I plan to read Love and Ruin by Paula McLain for this prompt. It has been on my TBR list for a while.

message 89: by Heather L (new)

Heather L (wordtrix) | 780 comments For those who prefer a classical take on the prompt: Sons and Lovers by D.H. Lawrence.

message 90: by Kayla (new)

Kayla | 9 comments this one looks good for people not into chic lit:
The Man Who Loved Books Too Much: The True Story of a Thief, a Detective, and a World of Literary Obsession http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/62...

message 91: by Emily (new)

message 92: by Tamar (new)

Tamar | 1 comments I've just read Love's Executioner and Other Tales of Psychotherapy by Irvin Yalom. It could a good option for people who don't fancy romance.

message 94: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany Moyer | 4 comments Emily wrote: "I will be reading Love, Rosie and The Greatest Love Story Ever Told"

One of my favorite books EVER!

message 95: by Jen (new)

Jen (jentrewren) Courtney wrote: "I will be reading To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han."

I will be very curious whether you find it as hilarious as I did. Not sure if it is meant to be or I am just odd.

message 96: by Nicki (new)

Nicki (spikedorchid) | 6 comments I'm currently reading Geek Love

message 97: by Jess (new)

Jess Penhallow | 427 comments Yay! I got Love in the Time of Cholera as a freebie in the Audible sale!
