SOLVED. Recently published picture book: brothers walk through a forest. a little one has to be lifted over logs and things. The whole book is blue. [s]

I remember someone in my children's literature class reading this book as part of a practice storytime, which would have been sometime in 2016. It looked like a new book, probably published after 2010.

The book is about a group of brothers, I believe, who are walking through a forest together. One of the brothers is smaller than the others and has to hop/be lifted at points in the book. I'm not sure about the other plot details

The primary thing I remember was that the book was predominantly blue--the background was blue, I think even the characters are either outlined in or entirely blue. The trees are black. There may be a red hat or scarf involved, some pop of red color, but it's almost entirely blue otherwise.

I'm sorry that it's not a great deal to go on!

edit: I wanted to add that I think the book had a sort of scribbly Oliver Jeffers-style quality, but I don't believe he was the illustrator. It did have that sort of modern style, though.

I doubt this is your book, but your description really makes me think of This is pre-Berenstain-Bears Berenstain bears, if that makes sense. The book is blue night in a forest of black trees with a little red lantern and a couple highlights of yellow moon and lantern light. The seven little bear brothers get spread out across the various landmarks in the forest so some are just getting started while others are almost at the destination.

This isn't it, but you're right, it is very much like what I described! I had no idea about the pre-Berenstain Bears era, so I learned something today!

Update: I found it by happenstance on the shelf at the library! The book I was looking for is Shh! We Have a Plan by Chris Haughton. The pop of red is a bird they're chasing in the woods. Thanks for your help!
