It's been a while since anything has been posted here. Life is most certainly getting in the way, but that doesn't mean we stop trying!
I love reading apocalyptic fiction, not to mention apocalyptic video games. And I was looking for something somewhat similar to The Last of Us. I was in desperate need of something good, I wanted it to be something I could dive straight into, knowing it would be a book that wouldn't let me down. And my search for something "good" came from being in a slump, and here I am now!
I finished reading City of Thieves a few weeks ago. A book that contributed to the creation of one of my all-time favorite games, and after loving that experience of getting lost in a book I was genuinely enjoying, I figured: hey! why not go through all the works the creators read + watched for inspiration?! And so now I'm on a roll, and here's another book that helped inspire The Last of Us--The Road.
