This is a YA book about a girl who lives at am academy for both vampires and humans. Her parents are in charge of the school and are vampires themselves-but she is not. she meets and falls in love with a human boy who suddenly starts attending and seems to know something is up. she discovers that her best friend is being stalked by a vampire who wants to hurt her. Most of the teachers are vampires as well.
SPOILERS:










While telling her parents a story of her boyfriends' family member who had been to the school and had broken the window, they realize that he was a vampire hunter. he then fights her parents and escapes-breaking the same window. Then her parents tell her that she is not human, she is half vampire, half ghost because vampires cant create children without a soul and ghosts cant create children without a body. She must become a vampire by (I'm not entirely sure here: killing a human or sucking just their blood). Then ghosts are trying to kill her so that she can become a powerful ghost. There is a male ghost trying to help her who was normal but became strong out of boredom. She lives with the vampire hunters for a while, feeding off of pigeons from the roof, until she is discovered. She then dies and becomes a ghost but can materialize by connecting with her bracelet that her boyfriend gave her. Then her boyfriend becomes a vampire and starts going to the school. The vampire in charge of (Discipline?) tries to capture the girl in ghost form. turns out, she used to be a vampire hunter herself, until something happened and she let herself be changed. Now she is hunting ghosts. She tries to fight her alongside her boyfriend. Then after the fight, she finds a way to turn him back into a human by sucking his blood until he can suck hers or something.
