M. Lee (leevee) | 78 comments A family hires a nanny - I'm pretty sure the parent or parents actually leave, for work or a vacation or something, leaving the nanny in charge. The kids aren't too happy with her, and at least one of them is actually a teenager (and thinks they should have been left in charge). Turns out the nanny is actually a witch, and uses her powers to help the kids out of various scrapes! I remember something, possibly, about a football game, and something about a bake sale? I also remember that at one point they managed to almost get her to leave, before realizing they actually liked her.

I'm pretty sure the books were from the point of view of the oldest daughter, and I'm also pretty sure it was a mixed family, with step-siblings and the youngest sibling being half-sibling to the others.

There were at least two books, I don't know if any more were ever written. They were younger YA/older children's in style, and I read them in the late 90s/early 00s, and I'm pretty sure they were fairly new.

M. Lee (leevee) | 78 comments Nah, this was a much more recent series - they took place in the 80s at the latest, more likely 90s. The nanny was also pretty young, in her 20s I think.

Rachel | 1527 comments Was the nanny's name Phoebe? If so, I think I also read this but can't recall the title either (so not much help!)
