SOLVED. Girl gets cast in a movie and her experience behind the scenes. [s]

Not sure if the book was an autobiography or not, I read it when I was in the 7th grade (10 or so years ago), which means I’m mostly guessing but I think it was written in the 1990’s. So the book follows this little girl age ranging from 8-12 behind the scenes of making I think what was to be a big budget hit movie. The movie might have been a western I assume because I remember a scene with a cabin and a woman in a dress and hats for some reason. I can’t remember anything about the start of the book but I remember the ending bits so spoiler ahead.

The main star is a bit snobbish; the make-up and costume people are nice to the girl. The old director is really good and coaches the girl on how to cry (think of your real father). There is a last minute change of director, and the girl becomes friends with the elderly actress playing her mother and everyone attends the big premier and the girl is like maybe one day I’ll see everyone again to work on another movie or something along those line.

Anyway there is one part that I do remember; (view spoiler)[they are shooting the last scene in the girl is supposed to run and embrace the main actor or something like that and the main actress trips a little coming in through a doorway but the new inexperienced director says it’s okay and then calls it a wrap. It was actually really nice to read and to be honest I want to remember the name of the book so I can request other books like it. Well hope someone knows this book and thank you all for your suggestions

Well sounds about right, now I'm questioning exactly what I read! haha, I did have a feeling she had a sister who was also somehow in the entertainment business and I did remember she was annoying.....

This is most probably the book the front cover looks like it could be very familiar.
