Our series group read of Throne of Glass is coming to an end this month! That was fast. A huge thank you to Lauren for leading the discussions!!

Since our other two series will continue into the next year, the question I’ll pose is if the group wants to add a replacement series in the Fantasy/Urban Fantasy genre. If so, please post your opinion below. If we move forward, we need to begin the nomination process soon.

Thanks, everyone.

I’ll create a separate topic for nominations since this one doesn’t have any of the rules.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 656 comments I'm not one for much fantasy, unless it's something like people who are also big cats. Of course, I can't think of the name of this genre, now that I've started typing, duh ;-(

I think you’re referring to shifters. Those books generally fall into either Fantasy, Urban Fantasy or Paranormal Romance.

If I’m wrong, experts please clarify!

If there's the need we could take a break for a month to organize nominations, polls, etc.

Yep, Shifters is the word I was looking for. Don't ask me why I like them, but I do like a good series that's written well with a good story line!

I love shifters, too. They’re represented really well in the Chicagoland Vampires series (where I became a fan).
