Looking for a specific book?

I have a few pages of a book, which i don't know anything about it's title or the author. the few pages i posses is about Jude: the obscure by Thomas Hardy. it appears to be critical notes about the story and the characters. for instance a page is about symbolism. in the same page a paragraph starts with this line "The second prominent symbol in the novel is the steel trap. Jude uses it to catch and kill the rabbit."
i believe the book contains other critical notes about Hardy's works and some other classic works. and it's type of the books that is suitable to be taught at universities.
anybody knows anything about the book or anyway to find any information about it? i have tried to google it but yet no luck.
