I’m a bit apprehensive about this one tbh. I didn’t like Laini Taylor’s other books 🙈🙈🙈
I liked Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I wasn't keen on the sequel, but my friend loved this book and we have very similar tastes, so hopefully it should be good.

Yeah the second one isn't great. I will probably finish the series because I don't like to leave things unfinished, but I was kind of disappointed with the story in the second one.

If I do, it won't be till next summer, since I can't manage 500+ page books during the Uni semester (I'm making an exception for Kingdom of Ash!), it's too much of a time commitment. Fair enough!
I read this last month! It's absolutely amazing! I hope you all enjoy it!
I’ve been trying to read this book for about two months (I only got to chapter 3) but because of college I haven’t had any time or motivation. But assignments and things seem to be going at a more steady pace now, so hopefully I’ll have the time to read this book this month! It’s just frustrating that even though I have more time, I’m still in a really big reading slump

I don't think I'm going to get to it, I don't have as much time to read as I'd like to at the moment with all my end of semester assignments.
As soon as you get a chance to, I highly recommend reading it! It is so amazingly written and such a great story. It does start a little slow, so don't be disheartened!
I REALLY enjoyed this one - is it just a duology or planning to be a trilogy!?

I'm thinking of giving the group read a miss in December and then rejigging it and restarting it properly in the new year. Thoughts?
