what do you mean? like FF for fanfiction.net etc?
Anji wrote: "I've got those editions of both books and they're still showing up on my Kindle. Find Wonder in All Things doesn't seem to have an Amazon page any more but The Particular Charm of Miss Jane Austen ..."hmm. wonder why the change for cass grafton book

Wow, I never would have guessed that!
Patricia wrote: "I never heard of AHA before."Patricia, it's A Happy Assembly, which is part of The Meryton Literary Society. You have to register with the site to be able to use it. Some published Austenesque works have been posted in instalments here first.

I thought it was another website like ff with variations. I think im registered to aha but constantly forgetting username. its been so long asince I registered lol
Patricia wrote: "hmm. wonder why the change for cass grafton book"I read (on FB, I think) a while ago that Cass and Ada have signed a new publishing deal for The Particular Charm and its forthcoming sequel. So that's why the cover, and presumably the Amazon page, have changed.
I just posted this question at our Fan Fiction Forum, but I'm asking here as well: ISO the link to an unpublished story called A Woman Scorned. Asking for a friend. I don't remember it, I don't have a personal file with the story, and there's no GoodReads listing for it.
Debbie, I did a search on the JAFF Index and found this one at AHA:Blurb: Every woman wants Mr. Darcy. But Josephine will stop at nothing. One woman's campaign becomes the ultimate test of E&D's love.

Does anyone know the name of the variation that has Elizabeth and Darcy locked in a room together and Lizzy climbs out a window and down a tree to escape?
Kim wrote: "Does anyone know the name of the variation that has Elizabeth and Darcy locked in a room together and Lizzy climbs out a window and down a tree to escape?"Do you have any more details? I know I have read at least one with a window-climber (Darcy tries to keep her from the window)

I only remember that I read an excerpt on someone's blog and it was probably last year, maybe?
I think I remember one where Caroline locked them in the library in order to destroy Miss Eliza Bennet's reputation. Lizzy climbed out the window and walked around to the front of the house where Caroline was. She made eye contact with Caroline and smiled/smirked. Goodness, what was that story? Is this the one or are you considering another?

I think about this and my mind keeps whispering "Renata McMann"I haven't found the story title yet but I think she had a library compromise
Kim wrote: "Does anyone know the name of the variation that has Elizabeth and Darcy locked in a room together and Lizzy climbs out a window and down a tree to escape?"Particular Intentions by L.L. Diamond has a scene like this.
So if asking a question in two other threads is the 'belt and braces' approach, what is asking it in a third? No, that's not my question here!Does anyone know what's happened to The Events at Branxbourne? I wanted to get a copy recently using a gift card I'd won but can't find it on Amazon.
Wow, I didn't realize it had come down. It was just there this summer when I was considering it for a KU read. Maybe its being re-edited or getting a new cover? You could check her Facebook page or if she has a website to see if she made an announcement about it.

I have that book on my shelf, so that could very well be the one I'm thinking of... for some reason I thought it was on a blog...maybe it was at one point. Thank you so much for responding :)

I found it listed under authors name and it says put of print-limited availability. then it says to go to AbeBooks.com but that sight says not available. sorry
In the recent past, someone was asking about books from Karen M. Cox. She has posted at FB today about a re-release of 1932 and Find Wonder In All Things. So if you're looking for her books, don't give up. They will be available again
with the new secret garden movie coming out I went and looked up info on the author. I never knew she lived in USA! Does anyone know if there is a historical house/museum or events like for Laura Ingalls Wilder etc?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laura_I... this is a link to a sight that gives mrs wilders autobiography and a list of books, museums, and all things laura ingalls wilder
thank youi was using Laura as an example of what i was looking for with the author of the secret garden though
I looked briefly and did not find a Burnett society or house but there is some guidance to touring Burnett-related sites in Tennessee.
I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place or not but I'm just wondering if anyone is watching the new adaptation of Sanditon? If so what do you think?
I'm not sure when we'll get it in the US, but sometime next year. I'd love to know what the UK-ers thing about it, too.
That's a while to wait. I'd love to know what people think of it to see if it's how I'm looking at it. Don't know if I should say what I think so far.
You could always put it in spoiler tags, Teresa, for those who want to be surprised. I personally would like to know your thoughts so I would click on the spoiler. Anji may be watching it but if I recall correctly, she is offline for a bit?
I see there is discussion of the series in at least one of the Jane Austen groups, here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
That's grand Abigail. I'll post some tomorrow. I'm off to bed now. Thanks for the tip on the other discussion. I missed it somehow.
I am struggling to claim my books on GR that a friend was kind enough to help me add... I was denied because the moderator was not able to open the links I provided. Neither the android nor the desktop mode links that I have sent. I have no trouble opening them on my phone or laptop...The moderator recommended that I publish on another site than FF...
AHA comes to mind but with the one hour rule between each chapter and other authors publishing, it will take days...
Any suggestions on what I can do?
Who is the moderator you mention? Are you talking about a GR Librarian? These listings are strange in that they are not "searchable"
I can't search for "Vaarin" (no listings of an author) or by story title. Plus two of the stories made double listings.
What good would it do to use another FF site? I am confused
I asked support for help and the moderator that answered was named Alta. When I search for Vaarin on GR, I find the stories here on GR but the moderator cannot find the stories on Fanfiction. The links I sent just time-out.
I have sent the links for Android devices and computer...
The moderator wanted me to publish on another site than FF and send her the links so that I could claim them here on GR.
I am as confused as you. I have no plans of publishing anywhere else.
AHA is honestly too much trouble for me because I do not post any chapters before the book is finished and I prefer to upload it in its entirety, not chapter by chapter.
The GR listings all contain the links to FF site in the blurb -- I just re-checked and they all work. I don't understand the problem at all. There is another book I read that was new about the same time
Don't flatter yourself: A Pride and Prejudice Variation
It is searchable here when I use "add book/author" but not if I use the "search books" function.
I think GR has something screwy
I think so too because the links work when I copy and paste them on my phone and on my laptop...I just remembered that I have an AO3 account. I will check if it would be possible to post it there.
Elin -- I just added your "Two Components"Let's see if that is searchable. I'll check in 1/2 hour or so.
Thank you Rose!I have added my stories to AO3 and sent the links to the moderator so hopefully, I will be able to claim them...
Ok I've just seen the last episode of Sanditon and I have to say it was a huge disappointment. The ending was totally unexpected. I actually couldn't quite believe what I was seeing!!
Wish there was someone else I could discuss this with. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone so won't say anything. I think it's as well that Andrew Davies stick to adapting novels for the screen rather than make up his own!

I've already decided not to watch it based on an article I saw about it some time ago.
Teresa! I have seen Sanditon and what a disappointing ending!!! I LOVED it up to the end though... The cast was fabulous (adore Kris Marshall, he is just hilarious) and the story had me spellbound but after that unaustenesque ending, I am not sure if I even want a second season... You are welcome to PM me if you want to discuss it further, Teresa. For those of you who want to see it, it is available on hdtvshows.net

I'm familiar with FF, AHA and DWG. What is AO3?"
An Archive of Our Own, a fanfiction site. I find the site to be very reader friendly because of the ease of downloading stories. A reader can choose to download a story in the AZW3, EPUB, MOBI, PDF, or HTML format.
A few of my favorite stories from the site:
Dear Nameless Stranger by JeanniePeneaux, a Pride and Prejudice and Daddy Long Legs mashup:

and its companion piece from Darcy's point of view An Unfair Advantage
