Recently read a historical romance (i think) about a hero who marries heroine but won’t sleep with her as he doesn’t want to carry on his blood as his dad was crazy/ mad with love.

Heroine does all she can to get the hero to sleep with her/ love her. He accuses her of nearly raping him at one point and sends her away.
