I hate that it does the google password thing---they always 'protect' my account for some reason and now I am locked out. :(

I haven't had any problems with my logins, so I'm not sure I know what you mean. It has to have the email login though, so everyone doesn't vote twenty times for their faves.

I think more people should vote for A Canticle for Leibowitz. I mean, who doesn’t love a book with canticles? And a guy(?) named Leibowitz is sure to be witty, so I bet somebody gives him a witty canticle which is even better than just a plain old canticle. Plus it was published in 1959, so you can cross off the 50’s for your Time Traveler challenge and count another book toward your Read All the Books challenge all in one teensy book that’s barely over 300 pages long. And for anybody who hasn’t realized this yet, you can edit your vote without losing your original vote.Disclaimer: I know nothing whatsoever about this book (I like to go in blind), but it has the greatest chance of winning out of the books I voted for, so I’m trying to promote its imagined virtues. ;)
Embassytown and The Master and Margarita may have a chance also, so feel free to vote for them too…
XD
You crack me up! I will see if I voted for these things, and if not, I will vote for 2 of these things.

I voted for them too. I like campaigning. I think we should all campaign. I also voted for Zoo City by Lauren Beukes because she’s been on my TBR for way too long.
Yes, I’m very happy to see reread campaigning! I can’t remember what I voted for, but I usually adjust my votes on the last day.
Sarah wrote: "I voted for them too. I like campaigning. I think we should all campaign. I also voted for Zoo City by Lauren Beukes...."Zoo City is a good one. :-)
I'm crossing my fingers for The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet. Some friends have enthused about the whole trilogy, but I haven't started it yet, so it'd be great to have a timeline & reading buddies to get that in my TBR schedule. :-)
I'm reading The Killing Moon now. It's awesome! And dense. So much going on, & I don't know where it's going next. :-)
Wild Seed is high on my to-read list too....
I voted for Zoo City too, Sarah. :) But it was part of my original vote so the number won’t increase. Embassytown and Canticle are both up to 16 votes now!
YouKneeK wrote: "LOL Allison, you’re so kind, I hope somebody gives you a canticle too. ;)"
hahahaha!
hahahaha!
I added votes for a couple more books, but alas, all this activity has pushed Red Mars (the only book on the top 20 list that I own and haven't read yet) away from the top 6.
So much campaigning that here's an update!Top 6 will become our rereads for April-June

I went in and voted for everything that interested me, that I do already own but hadn't already read. :) I'm currently happy with the top 6. I've read Library At Mount Char and really liked it, and beside LWTASAP, I want to read all of the remainders. (That's not to say that I don't want to read LWTASAP, but I don't own it already. LOL)
Red Mars is also one of 2 in the top 6 that I own, and have not read. I’ve got Red Mars on my TBR challenge list for book I’m most intimidated by, which may not sound like a good thing to say about it to campaign for votes, but it’s only because it’s so long. I interviewed Robinson a few years ago and he’s such a fascinating guy, but I have only read some of his short fiction (which is wonderful)! I’ve had this book on my TBR forever! If you haven’t voted for it yet, do it now!!! 😃

But you have to like chapter-long descriptions of landscape (which I luckily do)
ETA: my planned reads are all out of the top 6 by now. Yet 3 of the books I already read - I'm getting better with our list ;)
Alif was a really, really fun book. I didn't expect it to be as involved and emotional as it ended up being.

Yay for campaigning, boo for City of Bones (the top ranker among my votes) falling entirely off the leaderboard. In 2018, I enjoyed reading Martha Wells' Ile-Rien fantasies and the sci fi Murderbot novellas. City of Bones is an intriguing standalone involving relic dealers in a city by the Waste.
Woo hoo, look at A Canticle for Leibowitz up there at the top! I’m happy to see some love being shown for canticle distribution. It’s the only one of my votes currently in the top 6, but none of my votes won in the last round so I’d be thrilled if even one did this time. :)I had mixed feelings on Red Mars. There were some things I really liked, and some things I really didn’t like. I liked Alif pretty well. I was kinda lukewarm on Library at Mount Char. I’ll enjoy following the discussions if those win.
LOL friends!
Dawn I think it's a song, for, like religious things, right? Cantors cant canticles?
