Mie | 2165 comments Have you tried The Giver?
I was only going to the that one - I didn’t know there were 4 connected books, when I started.
All of them are brilliant, so if you like the Giver, I highly recommend the others too :-)

Keri Sparks | 640 comments Would you be interested in getting into mangas? They are definitely a quick read but so rich in story and entertainment. A lot of them have beautiful art as well. A few of my absolute favorites are:
Fruits Basket
Ouran High School Host Club
The Story of Saiunkoku
Bokuno Hero Academia
One Punch Man
High School Debut

Otherwise for regular books, a few I had trouble putting down and that felt like quick reads to me are:
Inkheart
Inkspell
Inkdeath
Wildwood Dancing
The Cat's Eye Corner series.
This next suggestion is a very bias one of mine since I am the author, but I personally do find The Alvea Series to be a quick read. XD
