Sorry I wasn't here when the challenge started but I am glad I was average as I finished 11 books from the time GAR was announced to now!

I'm glad you've joined our group. New members are always welcome.
Actually, you're one book above average. I overlooked one member as well as forgetting to include myself. Plus, some members forgot to add their finished list books to their designated Great American Read shelves, so they weren't counted when I posted message 1. The information should be correct now.

Thank you,Lavan for guiding this group. I finished 69 of the books so far, but I want to finish the list. I wasn’t surprised that Mockingbird won. It’s one of my favorites. I pretty much agreed with the “ranking” or number of votes for the books I’ve read so far.

Toni, wow 69! Are you counting whole series as one or counting series books individually?
It's been awhile since I've tallied mine. I plan to do that at the end of the year to see how I've done in 2018 and also overall.
I want to finish the GAR list too. It would be fantastic if this group continues until we've read them all together!
Will you be rereading To Kill a Mockingbird with us in December?
69 from the list published. I’ve read some series-The Giver, Harry Potter, Twilight, Left Behind-but I just used the 100 list. I want to go back and read some more series, too. I created a Goodreads bookshelf to keep up with my list. I’m trying to get several library books returned that are inter library, but I am going to try and read Mockingbird again.
