Have you read
? This book plays in the same town / area but years earlier and Big Eddie is Benji's father from River. Such a sad, sad book. Anyway, as far as I know, both books aren't otherwise connected, though. Just that it's the same town and Big Eddie and Benji are mentioned.

At least we know that it's March 31, 1995 at the beginning of the book. I did a quick research on this singer because I didn't know her either. I only know Selena Gomez and as far as I know she's still alive. LOLEDIT: okay, the date is mentioned on the next page. I should be more patient, I guess. LOL
I don't know her either but I'm too impatient to read the book, lol! Maybe I'll look her up later.
