Yeah totally... with Yrene’s baby.... also if this happens then do you guys think Rowaelin will have a baby??? And if so, what will he/she look like? Cos i mean obvs they have to have Ashryver eyes, but silver hair and eyes that are gold doesn’t really look that nice...

Kelsey Camilla wrote: "What happened to the Thirteen just broke my heart. I was reading it during my lunch break..and it was the worst place to be reading that scene. I had to go the bathroom to pull myself together."

I cried UGLY tears as soon as I realized what they were going to do. I was in the car with my mom and just couldn't get it together. I had to stop reading until she dropped me off at my house, then once she left and I picked it back up to finish, every time Manon came back up in the story I would start crying again. Manon and the witches were my favorite story arc, so this hit me hard.

s.moon Angel wrote: "Eseosa wrote: "Are Dorian and Yrene carranam?!?!?!?!?!"

Yes i was really confused too, cos didn’t Dorian and aelin do the same thing in QoS???? And I KNOW they’re not carranam so...."

Maybe its cuz of Dorian's raw magic that he can be carranam with anyone he wishes?

YES! As soon as she mentioned mountains and starts I was like IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING, and I totally cried when Rhys did her a solid. It's also really interesting to me that the ACOTAR world is the one right next to the TOG world. When it said that Aelin closed the gate, and all other doors, I thought of Amren.

Me, too. That was so hard.

Lorcan and Elide on the plain in Anielle was TOO MUCH FOR MY HEART.

I was so messed up after that scene, I cried for hours. They were the only people manon really considered to be family and now she's doesn't have any of them and you can see how badly it effects her. She suffered so bad because where as other people lost some of the people they cared about but she lost them all.

Because Aelin closed all the gates and doors, does this mean everyone goes back to their original world??? So the Inner Circle lose Amren????

Susan Nox going MIA sorta bugged me, too. Disappointed that he never met up with the real aelin.

Favorite bit was Dorian at morath, when he showed himself to not be some meek little boy-prince.

I expected them to lose their powers somewhat, and for aelin to do her usual martyr thing when the time came. I think the scene when she basically was attacking the 'gods' for spite, was what kind of kicked her back into herself and what she needed to be. Even if, as usual, they had shit timing. Lol

I'll probably reread it because details are always missed on my first read.

I think it's the other way. They're stuck and she has no way home.

Karina gosh i am soo (spoilers) heartbrokenn both by pain and love if thats possible. but theres something that is confusing me so much and i need answerss.
on page 825 aedion and lysandra are making out lol and this sentry walks really quickly but lysandra says that aedion follows him until hes out of view and sayd "follows him like he found his prey at last, not his prey but his partner. his mate." im confused does this mean the sentry was his mate?

Kayla I was very sad that Aelin no longer has her endless power. That made her who she was. She couldn't have been Aelin without it. She would have stayed as Celaena. Im glad she remained in her Fae body because if she went to human it would have killed me but I wish she still had her power. Now she can't surround an entire city in her fire and threaten to set everyone on fire.

Yeah that and Nox going MIA were the two biggest disappointments. I loooved when Aelin had her ginormous reserve of power, she was unstoppable

message 65: by Susan (new) - added it

Susan No longer having such vast power of her own, (she can still use Rowan or Dorian) it forces her to evolve her thinking and finally start sharing her plans and responsibilities. To learn to rely on others to do their part.

If she had her original power, odds are it would've just been aelin trying to do everything again and not allowing others to get in the line of fire (no pun intended). It would've been a very predictable and boring end fight.

That's true but that was also the bad ass women I came to love. She didn't need anyone to help her because she was capable of winning wars alone. Im glad she'll learn to share but ill still miss her old self.

Yes you have a point. Maybe if she didn’t lose as much of her power? With the amount it says in the book (more than at mistward but less than when she freed rowan from the blood oath), it feels like she has virtually no power, about as much as Essar, so if she had at least as much as at Doranelle it may have been better

Kayla Angel wrote: "Susan wrote: "No longer having such vast power of her own, (she can still use Rowan or Dorian) it forces her to evolve her thinking and finally start sharing her plans and responsibilities. To lear..."

Yes exactly!... and did we ever meat the other woman that Sarah mentioned in heir of fire..... the one who went to mistward and left to Doranelle because she had raw power... or was that Essar?

Like, if TWoToG had an epilogue....

Aimee Idk... there were so many unanswered questions at the end of this book. I think we will be getting a 'spin off'.
I thought there might have been a hint that we could get a book about Fenrys ;)
I have such a bad book hangover, what is everyone reading now???

Anant The final fight was a little short, wasn't juicy enough for me

message 81: by Soph (new)

Soph Did anyone else read the Empire of Storms exclusive where Aelin told the little girl (Phedre) to wait a year after the war, then go to Orynth and find Celaena Sardothien?? And that Aelin would teach her how to wield her water magic?? and it never happened??

Also-- Nox. Never. Met. Aelin.

Also-- Florine said that wherever Aelin put her throne, she would come bringing art and dance. What happened to that

Also-- any details about Mort the doorknob that I missed? I don't recall any mention of him and I'm disappointed.

Lastly-- Did we get any mention of the kingsflame flowers blooming everywhere for Aelin?

just some thoughts of mine

Anant "Lastly-- Did we get any mention of the kingsflame flowers blooming everywhere for Aelin?"

That's how the book ends.

Bella okay so i finished the book three days after it was on shelf and where is my reunion with aelin and nox like come on and where is mort I miss are little annoying door knocker . But in all seriousness i loved the ending and im sad its over

It has been two weeks and my heart is still broken. I need more. I need closure. I need to know where everyone is a few years later.

Kayla I don’t think i have ever experienced what I felt like when reading these books. They have a special place in my heart an they are so different from so many other fantasy books. Maas really did a great job..... but i want to see Rowan and Aelin’s kids!

Jennifer ✨ Anant wrote: "The final fight was a little short, wasn't juicy enough for me"

Yeah I do agree with this

Jennifer ✨ I absolutely love how Sarah J Maas creates these characters that we become so attached to! I wish we got even more from Manon because I loved her

When Elide went to rescue Lorcan, OMG

Karishma Bhakta I was screaming with joy when Chaol and Khagan Family meet after battle and Aelin walks in. Hell yes!!!!! Best entrance ever. OMG
