Yep. Once, in the Tate Gallery (London) I saw a "painting" that was all beige-brown, almost uniform. It was called "Sandstorm".

I think it was at the Tate, as a young boy many years ago, I saw a whole series of canvases that were all plain white. Can't remember what they were called, but it seemed to me back then that a lot of "art" was pure bunk trading solely on the name of the "artist".

Now I'm a grumpy old man I've seen nothing to cause me to revise my opinion :)

J.J. Mainor | 2440 comments Next you're going to tell us all those 2-page pamphlets dominating KU back in the days when they paid by borrow weren't actually books.

Ian Miller | 1857 comments Probably wrong Ian, but no, they were not.

Graeme Rodaughan Hi J.J. for some reason your last link became a hyperlink.

Graeme Rodaughan There are many examples of 'art,' that have nothing to communicate to the viewer, precisely because the 'artist,' has nothing to say.

Mute artist = mute art.
