Merry (lettersfromthelighthouse) | 24 comments I'm one of those people who bring (physical) books pretty much everywhere; I usually just pick whatever it is I'm reading at the moment. Most of my books are paperbacks anyway so the size isn't much of a problem.
Listening to new books on audio doesn't work too well for me (I always zone out), but depending where I go I can totally read while walking.

PAID TIME OFF FOR PRE READATHON PREP!!!!

. . . you may have changed my life.

Elizabeth | 316 comments I almost always have a book with me in my purse. Usually it's something on my iPad, but I might also have a physical book. And in a pinch I can always read on my phone, which syncs with the ipad and is always with me.

Beth | 32 comments I have a book with me wherever I go. I read while waiting in lines, while cooking, while doing laundry. I read everywhere!

message 55: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (morr_books) | 116 comments I never go anywhere without some form of book. When on the go, I mostly have an audiobook or ebook on my phone.

Meneniareads (nenia) | 7 comments I have to have a book while travelling/commuting, because I don't want anyone to talk to me!

message 57: by Karsyn (new)

Karsyn (imzadi) I don't go anywhere, almost ever. :) But if I were, if I go further than my mailbox, my Kindle goes with me. Either for ebooks or audiobooks.

message 58: by Alicia (new)

Alicia (readersbeadvised) Always for appointments because you never know how long you'll be waiting and I keep Pablo Neruda's Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair in my purse (it's pocket-sized) to enjoy his poetry if I'm in line at the grocery store.

Lee McBride | 17 comments I’ve been audiobooking while driving to my grandma’s house. I am also listening to audiobooks while grading papers. I have a lot to do today, but most of my reading will be done this way and that’s not normal for me and time spent reading. However, it makes it to where I can get everything done. I’ll relax and stop listening and try to sit and do some silent reading here in a while. There’s nothing quite like reading in the silence and still of a cool day.

Iluzija O. Istini | 34 comments I am another one of those people that take a book with them wherever they go.

But.. if i had to specify where do I find it absolutely mandatory, there are two instances.
One is plane. Whether we are talking about waiting to be boarded or the flight itself (although I do look through a window quite a lot), a book is a must have.
The second one are ques. Social security, or police department, or anything like that. Ques can last for over an hour and without my book I become that annoying girl that wants to talk to everybody.

Brandi (Brandi Janee's Bookshelf) (brandijaneesbookshelf) | 9 comments I usually try to bring at least a book with me anywhere I go just in case there's a chance to read. Luckily today I don't have anything to do but read, laundry and maybe a nap thrown in later.

message 62: by Sue (new)

Sue (stackthosebooks) | 7 comments I always have audiobooks to listen to and I usually take 1-6 books with me anywhere I go, even if I leave in the car so I have it there if I need it. I always listen to audiobooks in the car or while running around doing other things. I did everything I could before this readathon and purposely did not schedule anything for today. I have a whole day of nothing but reading but I don't seem to be getting as much reading done as I would have hoped.

message 63: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 7 comments I keep my phone with the Kindle app on me at all times. Just in case.

I pick my purses based on book carrying capabilities lol. I always have a book with me.

I always listen to audiobooks on my way to work and on my morning walks. I've also started audiofolding...listening to audiobooks while folding laundry (which I hate doing.)

message 65: by Joi (new)

Joi | 8 comments I usually have an audiobook on me at all times. I listen to books wherever i go.

message 66: by Lena (new)

Lena (nlgmcr69) | 214 comments I always have a book for errands like Dr. visits, kid's sport practice, etc. In actuality I am rarely anywhere without a book, but these are the times when I make sure I have one with me. And I try to take a lighter read for anywhere outside the house especially if it is something noisy. More dense reading I need to be at home with some quiet to be able to really connect with the material.

message 67: by Mathilde (new)

Mathilde M (bedsidereading) | 12 comments I was planning on going to the pharmacy and reading whilst waiting to be helped, but I ended up just staying home all day.

I have, however, been known to read in the passenger seats of cars, whilst walking down the street or when I’m eating/drinking something at restaurants. I’ll read in most places; Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

message 68: by [deleted user] (new)

I always have a book in my bag, surprise suprise, so whenever I take a longer train ride I read or when I have to wait I read. Honestly, not really any particular book, just one of the ones I`m reading atm. I usually read several books at once, one I have by my bed, one in my purse and one in the living room.
