Assaph Mehr | 11 comments Here are a few medieval related blogs. I don't normally follow blogs, but these came recommended from someone whose knowledge of the medieval world I greatly trust and admire (his is the last one on the list - Armarium Magnum).

Medieval Reader:
http://medievalreader.wordpress.com

Medieval News:
http://medievalnews.blogspot.com.

Got Medieval:

Summer of Blood:

Armarium Magnum:

Personally I follow a few YouTube channels centres primarily around HEMA and ancient Rome. I can heartily recommend:

Schola Gladiatora:
https://www.youtube.com/user/scholagl...

Metatron:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIjG...

There are more, but these two should open your eyes to how almost everything you see in movie fight scenes is wrong. I do make a lot of use in them in researching and writing proper fight scenes in my books.

Celeste Leon | 1 comments HI Melina, I may be a bit outside of your time frame but I posted about WWII and an important day when my uncles sailed home from Calais, France on 11/9/1945 as part of a famous Puerto Rican regiment. It's a very poignant story and a scene in my book which is to be realsed by Floricanto Press, a small press of Latino stories, in a few weeks! It's a novel insprited by a true story that I started writing 10 years ago! Check out the post:

Great post Anna - and it shows why the sad lives of long-dead royals so fascinating - ultimately you just have to admire them simply for all the awful things that happened to them by accident of birth.
