HI Melina, I may be a bit outside of your time frame but I posted about WWII and an important day when my uncles sailed home from Calais, France on 11/9/1945 as part of a famous Puerto Rican regiment. It's a very poignant story and a scene in my book which is to be realsed by Floricanto Press, a small press of Latino stories, in a few weeks!
