Some Mexicans consider her a traitor but after you learn how she was treated by her people it's not a one sided story.

message 82: by Keith (new)

Keith Skinner (renegadeimage) | 3 comments When news reached the eastern U.S. in 1848 that gold had been discovered in the Sierra foothills, thousands of bright-eyed argonauts scrambled to California. Some took the difficult overland route while others hopped clipper ships for the long voyage around Cape Horn. Still others, some may say the more enterprising gold seekers, sought transport across Central America. This is the true story of imperial powers scuffling for territorial control, American entrepreneurs creating opportunity, and one small country struggling to claim an ever shrinking piece of the pie.
