In middle school, I read this book series about this girl whose name I'm pretty sure is DJ and she lives with her grandmother. Then three other girls move in too, and the grandmother trains them to be in pageants or something. In one of the books DJ saves this little boy from getting hit by a car. She also falls in love with her best friend who is also her neighbor. I could have totally made this up in my head, but I would really appreciate anyone who knows anything about this. Thanks :)
