The priest showed everyone an engraving of original seal of the Abbess and Convent of Syon, Isleworth. Seated above is the Virgin Mary, holding the infant Jesus in her right arm. In her left hand she holds a stem of lily, her attribute denoting purity. Below is the founder of Syon Monastery, King Henry V, who kneels praying to the Virgin and Christ above, by the intercession of St Bridget, standing behind. The royal arms of England appear on the right with the cross of St George, patron of England, on the left, apparently with a lily between each arm.
The priest then touched the relic and the Tryptych to the coffin. The coffin seemed to shake violently and exploded. The contents spewing in all directions. There was blood and gore everywhere. A fearful cry arose from the crowd. They had seen the work of God. For Henry the VIII was just as hated as revered. A stray dog was seen licking under the coffin and the monk whispered under his breath, 'The prophecy is fulfilled.’

---------
What was the curse on King Henry VIII?
a. That touching the Tryptych would make his body explode?
b. That he would meet a violent death?
c. People would be afraid of him in death?
d. A dog would lick his blood?

--------------------------
Bridget had made her watch the ‘Horrible Histories’ episode on Henry the VIII over and over until she had got it right!
Divorced, beheaded and died.
Divorced, beheaded, survived.
I'm Henry VIII, I had six sorry wives.
Some might say I ruined their lives.
Catherine of Aragon was one
She failed to give me a son.
I had to ask her for a divorce
That broke her poor heart, of course
Young Anne Boleyn she was two,
had a daughter the best she could.
I said she flirted with some other man
And off for the chop went dear Anne.
Lovely Jane Seymour was three,
The love of a lifetime for me.
She gave me a son, little Prince Ed,
Then poor old Jane, went and dropped dead.
Divorced, beheaded and died.
Divorced, beheaded, survived.
I'm Henry VIII, I had six sorry wives.
Some might say I ruined their lives.
Anne of Cleves came as four,
I fell for the portrait I saw.
Then laid on her face and cried, 'She's a horse! I must have another divorce.'
Catherine Howard was five,
A child of nineteen, so alive.
She flirted with others, no way to behave.
The axe sent young Cath to her grave.
Catherine Parr she was last.
By then all my best days were past.
I lay on my deathbed aged just fifty-five,
Lucky Catherine the last stayed alive.
(I mean, how unfair!)
Divorced, beheaded and died.
Divorced, beheaded, survived.
I'm Henry VIII, I had six sorry wives.

---------
When Catherine H died, she was:
a. 5 years old
b. 40 years old
c. 19 years old
d. She outlived Henry VIII
e. None of the above
PS: Special prize this week for all those who answer this question correctly. My audiobook for the The Tryptych is up for grabs.

* Waving it over her right shoulder: "Follow me"
* Dropping it on the floor: "Let's meet"
* Waving it over her left shoulder: "Farewell until we meet again."
* Drawing the fan across her forehead: "You have changed."
* Fanning herself swiftly with her left hand: "Don't you dare flirt with that woman!"
* Resting her fan on her heart: "My love for you is breaking my heart."

No problem Catherine. We writers are a busy lot. Either searching for ideas or writing them down.
I too prefer peaceful moments to write. The Muse favours it.
