Hello!

This is my 3d time participating in Dewey´s Readathon (through twitter), but it will be the first time living the experience through Goodreads! The reason? I´m a newbie in this platform! Well, I´ve been here for 5 months, but I have no clue about the functioning of the groups. Yeah. Still, I´m so excited to be here!

October 2018

I´m going through 3 "levels". The books from the second level are pretty short so I can read them fast and easy. If I manage to complete all of them, I´ll pick up some other book from my shelf!

1.
Ruin and rising- Leigh Bardugo
Pride and prejudice- Jane Austen
Obsidio- Amy Kaufman & Jay Kristof (re-read)

2.
Mujeres que ya no sufren por amor- Coral Herrera-NO
I will always love you- Marisa Morea

3.
Six of crows- Leigh Bardugo (re-read)-NO
Witches Abroad- Terry Pratchett

Elyse (winesaboutbooks) | 2454 comments Goodreads is so great! And this group is a great way to start. Good book choices! The Illuminae trilogy is at the top of my TBR for 2019. And the Grisha trilogy. lol. Good luck!

Lamilla | 827 comments Pretty good selection, especially the short books - they are essential in my opinion ))

Thank you! The re-reading of the Illuminae trilogy is glorious, honestly

Yes! Reading only books of 400-500 pages in a readathon is pretty devastating

Wow, happy readathon to you too!

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
Spain!

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
I will always love you- Marisa Morea. It´s a collection of biographies of musicians and there´s a looot of pictures

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
Pringles or some little filled sponge cakes, I can´t decide

4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
When I´m stressed with work or studies, I always decide that to read 5 or 6 books at once is the best I can do, instead of starting to work lol

5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
I participated in the last one (the reverse-) but I only participated in a sprint I think. This is the first time I´m trying to participate in several activities

message 12: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 316 comments I've never formally participated in one of the sprints, but I'm hoping to today! There are so many activities during the readathon that its impossible to do everything I want to. Good luck!

Because I have 2 other readathons going on during that weekend, here is the entire list of the books that I will be picking up from. Maybe I´ll be reading some of them before the 26th, so this isn´t the final list (but people are posting their lists already and I´m jealous!!):

- Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
- Harry Potter (4, 5, 6 or 7)
- The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon
- Into the drowning deep by Mira Grant
- The dark descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein by Kiersten White
- Plotting and writing suspense fiction by Patricia Highsmith
- Pretty girls by Karin Slaughter
- The Grownup by Gillian Flynn

The Grownup is a perfect book for the Oct RAT. Short, but sufficiently creepy.
