ABANDONED. MC has to move into a house with a girl he hates, and tries to deal with it when his friend also hates the girl

Sorry, my keyboard is messed up so theres a ton of typos and extras spaces in this post. So it was a kids book that i read while in elementary school in around 2010, i dont know if the book came out at a similar time. I remember very little but ill say what i can. I remember this kid, the main character, moving to a house that he unexpectedly shared with another girl his age that he absolutely hated. (may have moved just for vacation, but it could have been permanent). Eventually, the kids friend comes over to visit and he is nervous because his friend also hated the girl that his family was now with. He specifically promised his friend that he would be living a whole forest away from the girl they both hated. I also remember the family of the main character and the family of the hated girl going on a small boat, like one with oars. While on the boat the main adult reminded everyone to say "man overboard" if someone fell off, however, one of the adult women didnt like that the phrase man overboard was technically specific to men so they changed it to "person overboard". Someone eventually fall overboard and they do in fact shout "person overboard". The next memory i have of the book is very possible to be from a different book so i apologize if that is so. But i remember that the main kids dads friend comes over and he happens to be an artist. he brought some of his paintings with him. The younger brother of the main character gets paint on his feet and accidentally walks all over his fathers friends paintings. The main character/kid thinks that his dads friend will be mad, but he ends up being happy because he thinks the footprints are a cool artistic addition. Apparently his smile is scary since he doesnt smile often. He calls his painting that got walked over "baby feet blueberry" and proceeds to create a new line of his art in which the main characters little brother walks over paintings with feet coated in paint. These end up being displayed and maybe available for purchase at an art gala. This is all i have, thank you for any help.
