While speaking at the Edinburg International Book Festival, George R.R. Martin, author of the popular "Song of Fire and Ice" series, revealed that he has discovered, through correspondence via the "Game of Thrones" message board, that, so far, two fans have correctly theorized how the story will end, through subtle clues he has sprinkled throughout the books.
With two books remaining to be published, he has no intention of changing the ending.
Author George R.R. Martin supervises and contributes to the screenplay of the TV series. Although it follows the same general story line and sequence found in the books, Mr. Martin and the producers have admitted to creating enough differences in the plot and which characters live or die to provide the occasional surprise for readers of the Song of Fire and Ice Series who also follow the Game of Thrones TV series.
