Rating count updates

I'm curious how long it ought to take for the number of ratings to update when a new one is added. I just finished and rated the tagged book (Blanca and Roja, https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...) - before I rated it, it said 157 ratings. But the number stayed the same after I saved my rating. I figured it was instantaneous, but does it take a while to reflect new ratings/reviews? It's been about 20 minutes, so...a few hours? A day? Obviously, this is not a big deal, I'm just a dork who likes 1) seeing numbers change and 2) knowing how things work. :)
